If you have been involved in an accident, you are entitled to insurance-covered treatment/rehabilitation whether or not you are deemed at fault in the accident.Statutory Accident Benefits Coverage(SABS) are provided by law under every auto insurance policy in Ontario. Regardless of fault, every passenger or pedestrian has a basic minimum of $3500 medical compensation.
Treatments may consist of specific combinations of chiropractic care, registered massage therapy, acupuncture, electro-modalities, and/or exercises.Whether your injury involves whiplash, muscle pain, neurological symptoms, other musculoskeletal injuries, or loss of function, we can help.
What do I do if i'm involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)?
If you have recently been injured in a car accident, it is important to contact your auto insurance provider to file the report and get the claim started.On your first visit, we will evaluate your function, pain, severity of injury, and prescribe the appropriate treatment program.We can help with all aspects of treatment, including filling out insurance paper work, claim submission and imaging as required.
How do I pay for my treatments?
Under the Financial Services Commission of Ontario now Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Ontario,it is mandatory to exhaust your extended workplace health insurance as it is considered first payer prior to your auto insurance being used.
If you do not have extended health benefits through your workplace, or have exhausted these benefits, your auto insurance will fully cover your treatment often for a minimum of 12 weeks.We will help provide you with the necessary information to coordinate payments from your insurance providers.
What are common injuries experienced in a Motor Vehicle Accident(MVA)?
The majority of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident include whiplash, and other muscular strains and/or ligament sprains involving regions such as the neck, shoulder, lower back, mid back, elbow, hip and knee.In more severe cases there may be fractures, lacerations,cuts and bruises.
